There is a natural tendency for people wanting to take 3D CAD courses so that they can present employers with the highest CAD qualifications possible. Without doubt there are CAD jobs that do require these skills. However there are more current vacancies in companies that only use 2D CAD, than there are in 3D. So you have more chance of getting a job in 2D CAD.

Also there is no accepted standard for 3D CAD in the way that Autocad LT is accepted for 2D CAD work. There are many different 3D packages in use so it's difficult to make a successful choice for a job hunter. Therefore a better strategy might be to try for a well paid job in 2D CAD. Will I have to wait in a queue before I can get help from the tutor?

No. Our short courses have a maximum number of 5 trainees for almost individual attention.

Other courses typically don't state a maximum number so you may have to wait in a queue if you get stuck on your course work.

What if I don't achieve an assessment score of more than the current average Autocad user? After all 5 days seeems a short time when compared to longer courses.

Our courses are full time and not part time. You get lot's more attention from the instructor with only 5 on the course. If you don't achieve a greater score than the current average Autocad user, subject to some restrictions, you will be able to take a free place on another existing course.

How soon can you apply for jobs with your certificate?

Your certificate will be emailed to you automatically as soon as you complete your assessments You don't have to wait for many weeks before you can apply for jobs.

Many other courses go on for weeks. This suits the government's employment figures. If you are on any government training course, you don't count in the number of unemployed. How many people do you know who have got a job as a result of a government training course?

I already have some experience of Autocad is this course suitable for a refresher/update?

You may find that your "course completed" or "course attended" training certificates will be trumped by job candidates with CADsmart certification. If you apply for a job with a company that subscribes to CADsmart software you will be faced with a CADsmart assessment as part of your job interview. This assessment assumes knowledge of "advanced or intermediate" topics, which are typically not present in basic or "essentials" courses. In our experience most existing users in companies would score low marks in a CADsmart job interview assessment.

How good is the CADSMART Autocad skills certificate?

CADsmart software is sold to employers who use it to objectively evaluate the skills of their Autocad users and job applicants. So CADsmart skills assessments directly reflect the skills that employers want to see in their job applicants.
